What We Do

What We Can Do

Services to Children

Provision of Therapeutic Care ( Social Work Intervention)

Social Work interventions are conducted to ensure the care, healing and development of each child place at St Vincent. The best interest of each child placed in our care is at the centre of all activities and programs conducted by the multidisciplinary team. Children are attended on both personal and group to facilitate their growth.

Awareness and Educational Programs

It is our responsibility to teach children, to inform them about what is happening around them, to make them aware about their identity. Programs that facilitate learning and promote awareness are conducted internally and by members of the community.

Provision of educational care

The Best give you can afford the child is education! We ensure that all children in our care access education according to their needs. Children with Special needs are placed in their respective School. In order to achieve this objective; we need transport, school uniform, school bag, raincoats, shoes and stationary. The Home has to ensure that all the needs of the children are met in order for children to do well in school and to avoid secondary abuse traumatic experiences.

Volunteers

The Home is much in need of voluntary services; the members of the community can offer services to the Home on individual level or collectively. The Procedure and orientation program for voluntary services can be discussed with the respective persons.

We Provide Recreational care

It is essential for the children to have recreational program to facilitate their health, growth and development. Annual Sport events are conducted internally, volunteers from community also assist us to organise sporting and outing activities both inside and outside the Home. Children enjoy
participating in various activities.

My Night Prayer

Dear God in heaven please send your angels to watch over me as I sleep tonight in Jesus name.   I can’t say much in words but you can hear what is in my heart.

Udumo………

Yethi Maria………

Ujehova ungumalusi wami………

Baba wethu………

Nkulunkulu ngiyakuboga ngakho konke okuhle ongenzela kona, ngicelala ungithethelele zonke izono zami, ungilonde kulobusuku uze ungivikele ezingozini zonke ezomzimba nezomphefumulo.

Jesu, Maria, Joseph ngiyayinikela inhliziyo yam no mphefumulo wam.

Jesu, Maria, Joseph ngisizeni osizini lokufa kwami.

Jesu, Maria, Joseph umphefumulo wami uze umuke nani ngoxolo.

Amen.
