St Vincent Children’s Home (Child &Youth Care Centre) was founded by Trappist Monks in 1899.It is run by the Congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood right from its inception up to date and ownership was transferred in 1929 to Missionary Sisters of the Precious.
I am a 12 year old boy from Hammarsdale, I have 6 siblings 5 sister’s and 1 brother. Currently I live in St Vincent children’s because I lost both parent when I was two months old so I had no one to take care of
me.
The stuff of St Vincent including sisters of the precious blood took care
of me from that time, since then I have learnt the important of prayer, as
well as the important of education, self-love and to , support all the kids whom I share the home with. The sisters encourage me to focus on my future. I love it here, this place is my home!!
I am a young woman from St Vincent. I am about to turn 19 on November. I was admitted to St Vincent when I was 3 years old. Living in St Vincent gave me the chance to study and make something for myself and not be defined by my past. My life experience in St Vincent taught me to work hard and learn fast.
